Duke of Edinburgh's Award groups underway!

We have two Bronze Award groups now being run at two deaf schools in London - Blanche Nevile in Harringey and Oak Lodge in Wandsworth with the help of 3 teachers who have now completed their Award Leader training.

DCF will be supporting the two groups to complete their Bronze Award which will include an Expedition at the end of the 2009 academic year. The sections the groups will be doing are:

Volunteering - undertaking service to individuals or the community.

Physical - improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities.

Skills - developing practical and social skills and personal interests.

Expedition- planning, training for and completion of an adventurous journey in the UK or abroad.

I wish both groups the best of luck and I look forward to working with them!
